Alpha Stim
Alpha-stim is a gentle, FDA-approved medical device that uses micro amplitude electrical stimulation to help calm the brain and nervous system.
It is indicated to help anxiety, insomnia and chronic pain. The treatment is called CES, or cranial electrotherapy stimulation. It is thought to influence the brain networks involved in stress response, emotional regulation, sleep cycles and pain perception.
During treatment, small clips are placed on the ear lobes and very mild electrical stimulation is delivered through the clips to the Vagus nerve. The effect on the nerve pathways creates a more calm and balanced nervous system.
